Dr. Steven Hernandez, MD 

Founder and Medical Director

With over 15 years of experience practicing medicine,  Dr. H is our visionary leader and the driving force behind PrimalMD.  Dr. H received rigorous training in Emergency Medicine at Yale-New Haven Hospital/ Yale School of Medicine and eventually moved back to his native South Florida, where he has continued to practice medicine and help train and educate the  next generation of physicians  over the  past 10 years. 

In 2018, his  quest for knowledge catapulted him on a journey  that resulted in a newfound passion for longevity and precision medicine,  ultimately culminating into the genesis of PrimalMD Health and Wellness.  His extensive training and certifications in bio-identical hormone optimization, medical weight loss, longevity medicine, functional and regenerative medicine, and aesthetics reflect his commitment to providing holistic care. As a certified personal trainer, life-long athlete, and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu enthusiast, he brings a holistic approach to health.

Samantha Hernandez, RN

Co-Founder and Registered Nurse

Samantha, a registered nurse with a decade of experience, specializes in nutrition, aesthetics, and functional medicine, making her an invaluable asset to our team. Her passion and dedication to optimizing health is matched only by her commitment to patient care. Samantha enjoys experimenting with a wide variety of healthy recipes, ingredients, and foods.  She utilizes her creativity and innovative skills to create simple yet delicious dishes and deserts that can be implemented as part of a healthy lifestyle.  As a yoga enthusiast, obstacle-race competitor, and kitchen queen, Samantha walks the walk!
